We are a 49- bed behavioral health hospital divided into 3 units featuring a spacious 31-bed adult unit and two smaller Geriatric Units with 8 and 10 beds. Our Geropsychiatry Units feature smaller, comfortable spaces to allow for more personalized care. All units have spacious private rooms, private bathrooms and large windows. Our units feature large lounges and activity rooms.
All patients are cared for by a Psychiatrist, Medical Doctor, and Case Manager to ensure that their care is coordinated across all disciplines and their stay is tailored to their needs. Daily care of the patient is provided by a team of nurses, mental health aides and therapists. Group and individual therapies are provided throughout the day, including art and music therapy, talk therapy and de- stimulation spaces to encourage coping skills. Weather permitting, patients may enjoy our large outdoor patio for some fresh-air and exercise.
We accept admissions from Emergency Departments and Long-Term Care Facilities. Patients must have a psychiatric diagnosis and be under a voluntary or involuntary commitment. When sending a referral for consideration, facilities should submit patient demographics with insurance info, updated labs, medication list, nursing notes/progress notes as available. Patients need to be medically cleared by their Physician for inpatient Psych hospitalizations and proof of examination also submitted with the referral to ensure patient health and safety.
Due to the clinical acuity of their Psychiatric diagnoses and its treatment, we cannot consider patients receiving dialysis, pregnant patients, patients actively undergoing chemotherapy, and patients in active withdrawal from substances. We can assist patients with drug/alcohol dependencies if their primary diagnosis is a psychiatric diagnosis and they are not actively withdrawing. Medical complexities such as oxygen needs (6L max), wounds (stage 3/4 ), seizure disorders, and most chronic health conditions are considered with administrative team approval.
